Computers for the Blind attended the Sports Extravaganza in Irving, TX and awarded Karima Valentine with a computer that is preloaded with accessibility software.
Computers for the Blind awarded computers to two youth who are blind for White Cane Day 2018.
For the second year, Computers for the Blind was able to donate laptops to Alphapointe’s Technology Camp in Kansas City, Missouri.
Computers for the Blind hits a major milestone by building their 10,000th accessible computer. An open house was held September 12, 2017 at their location in Richardson, TX to present this computer to a local person who is blind.
Through a generous donation from the Delta Gamma Foundation, Computers for the Blind was able to provide 27 laptops to Alphapointe for their 2017 Technology camp in Kansas City, Missouri. This camp provides hands-on training to middle and high school students with vision impairments.
American Foundation for the Blind announced that Computers for the Blind will be a recipient of the 2017 Access Award.
CFTB is please to announce a new grant from the Reading Resource fund from the Communities Foundation of Texas that helps us provide computers at a lower cost for those who qualify.
